COURSE OVERVIEW
Master Plumbers Association of SA Inc delivers the CPC10111 Certificate I in Construction qualification as a VET in Schools program which comprises of an industry-endorsed set of learning strategies, career resources and nationally accredited competencies. It provides an introduction into the construction industry, its culture, occupations, job roles and workplace expectations.
The Units of Competency included in this Qualification cover essential work health and safety requirements, the industrial and work organisation structure, communication skills, planning basic use of tools and materials. It is recommended for secondary school students with no previous experience or connection to the construction industry.
Successfully completed units of this Qualification may provide credit towards components of SACE, where applicable.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this certificate is to enable learners to develop skills and knowledge to improve employability and work readiness. The course ultilises practical and theory based learning, coupled with the opportunity for placement onsite with a plumbing company.
This course provides a solid foundation as a career education program for all Secondary School Students as part of the SACE Program.
Students who complete and achieve competency in all 11 units of this course will receive the CPC10111 Certificate I in Construction Qualification. Students who complete any units of competency (partial qualification) will receive a Statement of Attainment.
*Results will only be issued to Students, providing they have supplied a valid USI and paid all course fees.
All Students are issued with an academic statement of results following course completion.

PRE-REQUISITE
To undertake our CPC10111 Certitficate I in Construction program, students must:
• Be currently enrolled as a secondary school student (Year 10, 11 or 12)
• Hold basic language, literacy and numeracy skills
• Be physically able to undertake practical task assessments (using tools and equipment)
Master Plumbers Association of SA Inc will conduct a pre-enrolment Assessment to ensure students hold the required Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills to successfully complete the course. Additional student support arrangements may be implemented where necessary.
DELIVERY AND DURATION
This program is delivered face to face over a full school year and also includes Work Placement.
Duration may be altered should a student have previous knowledge, skills or experience which is equivalent to the current course content. MPA offers students RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) and Credit Transfer Services where applicable. Please click here for further information.
WORK PLACEMENT
10 days Work Placement with a plumbing company is a required component of this Qualification.
This provides students the opportunity to gain a brief insight into a career in the plumbing industry.

COURSE FEES
Master Plumbers Association of SA sets course fees for each Student undertaking this training at the participating school. It is then the decision of the Participating School to implement applicable fees to each student.
Therefore, please enquire with the participating school to confirm the applicable course fees.
